Karnataka’s PUC second year result released

The Karnataka State Board result 2016 had been released tomorrow on 25th may 2016. The Karnataka Pre-University Certificate Examination was held on 11th March 2016 and ended on 28th March 2016.

Karnataka Pre-University Certificate Examination result was declared by Primary Education Minister Kimmane Rathnakar in Bengaluru on 25th May 2016. This year also girls have outperformed boys with the pass percentage of 64.78%. Boys pass percentage recorded was 50.02 which  is 14.76 less then girls.

Disappointment is seen Karnataka PUC result 2016 as pass percentage fell by 3.34 per cent from previous’s result of 2015. Overall pass percentage this year was 57.20 which was 60.54 last year. This fall have been the topic of disappointment.

Total of 636368 students had appeared for the exam in which only 364013 students have successfully cleared the exam this year which is only half of the total students got appeared this year. Number of students who have scored distention are 41373 out of total students who cleared the exam. Students who have attained first class marks are 18979 from the total students who passed the exam. This ratio is considerably low from the previous year’s result of 2015. In all the three  streams of arts, science and commerce girls have outshines boys.

Karnataka PUC Examination Topped By Rakshita T

Topper from science stream is Rakshita T who have scored tremendous score of 99%. Rakshita T is from Begaluru. Topper from commerce stream is Sahana Kulkarni who is from Bijapur district. She scored 594 marks . One more student who got the same marks in commerce  stream is Chayashree V. Both of these students have secured first position in the boards. Topper from Arts Stream is P Anita from Bellary district. Tania Martha Thomas of Christ college have also secured first position and scored 100 marks in French.

Highest scores in Science is recorded to be  596, in Commerce it is 594 and in arts highest score is 585. Pass percentage of freshers is 68.65 while that of private students is 25.62 and repeaters pass percentage is 25.07.

Pass percentage of Kannada medium is 46.89 while that of English medium is 65.71. Top 3 Districts with highest of pass percentage are Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodager. South Bangalore and North Bangalore have secured fifth and sixth rank in the list of district wise  percentage with 70.88 and 70.83 respectively.

Minister Rathnakar said that Dakshin Kannada have secured the first position in the state with 90.48 per cent followed by various other cities like Udupi, Kodager, Uttar Kannada districts and Yadagiri district with 44.16 per cent stands last in the list. 26 student’s results have been withheld due to the reason  of malpractices.
